Jim Willis is CEO of InDev Tactical, a security consulting and training group. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s in international development and security. He is a credentialed homeland security specialist and an anti-terrorism and threat response expert. Jim’s security expertise includes training from the US Defense Security Service, the UN Dept of Safety and Security, and other security-related organizations.
Jim, a combat veteran, has an extensive utility background that began as a second-generation co-op lineman and culminated at NRECA as the International Programs Director of Special Projects. He has worked in over 40 countries and conflict zones, including seven years in Afghanistan. He is a published author and a subject matter expert for several news organizations.
Jim blends his unique global experience, education, and training to address challenging security subjects, including situational awareness, de-escalation, and threat response. His primary client base is the utility sector, with a focus on electric cooperatives.
