                                                    For over two decades, Matt Dale has worked across industries including the Internet, healthcare, utility, federal, and now state government.  Matt has served in both leadership and technical roles including systems administrator, systems engineer, analyst, standards developer, and project manager.  Matt received numerous awards from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Office of Electric Reliability for leading Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) initiatives. As Virginia’s State Corporation Commission (SCC) Office of Cybersecurity Programs Chief Cybersecurity Advisor, Matt manages the Public Utility Division Physical and Cybersecurity Program and advises senior staff from other regulatory bureaus and divisions on cybersecurity-related matters.  Matt holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from the University System of Maryland, a Graduate Certificate in Federal Program Management from George Washington University, and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certificate from the International Information Systems Security Consortium (ISC)2.  Matt occasionally teaches cybersecurity courses as an adjunct instructor for the Virginia Community College System.
