My name is Katelyn Rose Jordan and I am a proud Virginian and I am a professional farm and forest cheerleader! As the Assistant Director of Governmental Relations for the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation, over the past three years I have had the opportunity to explore Virginia from corner to corner and hear the stories of the men and women who tend our lands. I specialize in the policy areas of local affairs, engagement strategies with local government, taxes, zoning, rural health, transportation, as well as dabble in energy and environmental issues. I am a native of Pungo in Virginia Beach and have a background in the Virginia legislative process, having worked for 2 state senators, a state delegate, a lieutenant governor, and a state agency prior to my time at the Farm Bureau. I believe that there is no population more deserving of a seat at the decision making table than those who feed it and I am passionate about continuing Virginia's legacy of a place where agriculture can thrive.
