I am a 39-year employee of VDOT, now working as Director of the Office of Land Use (providing assistance and oversight to VDOT staff dealing with land use permits, outdoor advertising control, subdivision street development, traffic impact analysis, and highway system changes) after working in 4 of the 9 VDOT construction districts (including District Planner for Culpeper and District Traffic Engineer for Salem) and several central office divisions. I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from VPI&SU and a certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and am married with two grown children and a sweet labradoodle (the cats are not mine).
