Leroy Sverduk is Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Choptank Electric Cooperative, where he joined the executive team in 2019. Shortly after joining Choptank, he was part of the team that formed Choptank Fiber, a cooperative subsidiary focused on bringing high-speed internet to rural communities across Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Leroy has led the engineering team through the design, development, and deployment of the fiber network, in addition to overseeing engineering and operations for the electric system.

Prior to joining Choptank, Leroy worked at Delaware Electric Cooperative. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Messiah College and is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Maryland and Delaware.

Leroy lives in Delaware with his wife and three children, where he also raises honeybees, and, according to the Delaware State Fair, produces the best honey in Delaware.
