American Crane & Safety provides effective, specialized, and affordable training programs for Basic Rigging, Certified Level 1 Rigging, Certified Level 2 Rigging, Master Rigging, Crane Signaling, and Overhead Crane Operation for the construction, industrial, military, energy, marine, and many other industries. As former crane company owners, we have over 50 years of experience with various types of cranes along with knowledge of operating cranes and dispatching cranes. Certified Rigger Level 1 course provides the necessary training to meet the OSHA standards of a Certified Rigger. This seven-hour on-site course includes classroom instruction, practical instruction, and testing. This certification is valid for three years. A certificate, wallet card, and hard hat sticker are included. 

This course provides the necessary training to designate the employee to work as a Level 1 Rigger. And covers the following topics:

3. Below the hook lifting devices, including their limitations

9. Effects of angles on rigging components and load movement potential while suspended
10. Applicable inspection and operation practices according to ASME B30.9, B30.10, B30.20, B.30.23 or B30.26
11. Sling protection
12. Allowable wear
13. Verifying the load weight
14. Rating charts
15. Sling angles
16. Center of gravity
17. Fall zone
18. Tag lines
19. Power line safety
20. Safe working practices around cranes

Competent Riggers that pass will receive a card valid for 3 years.
